THE FOUNDATIONAL STANDARDS ARE READY TO USE!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the creation of The Minnesota Theater Foundational Standards for Safety and Accountability! This document has been in development for the past two+ years and is now accessible in the menu to the right! Hundreds of theater makers have contributed to this effort and we couldn't be more proud of the results. It wouldn 't be the amazing creation it is without the contributions of the theater community.

If you weren't able to join us for our Facebook Live event to introduce the Foundational Standards and answer questions from the community, fear not! You can watch the introductory video below, or you can access the recording of the full meeting, which includes the introductory video and live Q&A, on our Facebook page by clicking HERE. For those that were able to join us, your participation was much appreciated and we value your thoughts and ideas.

MNTAC (Formerly known as TALC) stands for Minnesota Theater Accountability Coalition. It's a large community of volunteer theater makers and educators in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul that are looking for ways to create safer standards in working practices for technicians, performing artists and learners of all ages. The MNTAC community has created a set of Foundational Standards, with buy in from leaders of artistic organizations, that will be used statewide to address the impact of harassment, emotional, physical or sexual harm or discrimination while learning or creating in the arts. We strive to ensure safe working conditions for everyone, no matter how large or small the organization. A Standards Toolkit is in the works, as well as a standards document specific to the needs of learners and educators. You can learn more by exploring this website!
