MINNESOTA THEATER FOUNDATIONAL STANDARDS FOR SAFETY AND ACCOUNTABILITY

The Minnesota Theater Foundational Standards for Safety and Accountability, or The Foundational Standards for short, were in development over two years and published for public viewing in October of 2021. During this year MNTAC will gather information as individuals and organizations apply these standards to their work and provide feedback to the MNTAC Administrator Circle and Editing Team, sharing what's working and what isn't. They will be reviewed and updated in August of 2022. This is a living document that will evolve as we learn more. Our editing team will make quarterly assessments to discuss issues as they arise.

The MNTAC community continues to develop a Standards Toolkit which will provide resources and strategies for best practices designed to address issues specific the different areas in theater making and education. The Toolkit can be found in the menu to the right of this page.

WE ASK THAT IF YOU USE ANY OF THE INFORMATION IN THE MNTAC STANDARDS DOCUMENTS THAT YOU CITE THEM AS THE RESOURCE AND DIRECT OTHERS TO VISIT THESE PUBLIC DOCUMENTS FOR REFERENCE.

Accessibility: MNTAC is in the process of recording The Foundational Standards for the visually impaired. Please check back to use this resource.
